We wanted to find out more on how founder Robin Sola discovered his love for Sake and what made him decide to turn it into a business and why Sake could be your next favourite tipple. Tell us about your background and how you discovered Sake? My name is Robin Sola, and I am the founder of Sorakami. I was born and raised in France. My background is a little unusual. After a slight colour-blindness condition put an end to my airline pilot career, I moved to Tokyo, Japan, to study economics at University. There, my friends took me on a tour of a small Sake brewery near Kyoto, and it is where I discovered the true face of Sake. January blues not on the menu at popular pubs

THE January blues are set to banished from three of south Cumbria’s most popular pubs – as punters are invited to tell the staff a joke and get a whopping discount off their bill. The ‘Make us Laugh’ campaign was launched on January 2 at The Sun in Ulverston, The Commodore in Grange and the Black Cock in Broughton. Anyone who calls in for a bite to eat and shares a side-splitter with staff will have 25 per cent taken off their food bill. The initiative comes ahead of the month where the depressingly titled Blue Monday falls, and the reality of festive excess kicks in. London Mural Festival – 2020

The first ever London Mural Festival (LMF) will take place across London in September 2020. The festival sets out to use London as a vast canvas, painting a minimum of 20 new large-scale murals across the city, accompanied by a weekend of activity at Here East and Hackney Wick in East London. The weekend will celebrate creative communities across the city, whilst introducing a new way for people to experience one of the world’s biggest art movements.
