New Dining Destination, Bull & Bear, Opens in DIFC

The Bull & Bear at the recently opened Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre is now ready to welcome diners. Inspired by the original restaurant once located at Waldorf Astoria New York, Bull & Bear embodies the energy and elegance of Dubai’s most exclusive postcode, DIFC.

Upon entering the sleek venue, guests are greeted by magnificent bull and bear statues – hand-forged iron-clad sculptures reminiscent of Wall Street. The sophisticated interiors, which use a rich blue, gold and black colour palette, incorporate a mix of timber, metal and leather paired with contemporary furniture. Stunning day to night views of the city complete the striking scene, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap around the venue.

Victor Chalfoun, General Manager, Waldorf Astoria DIFC, said, “Bull & Bear is open for business and is a breath of fresh air in the city’s bustling financial district. Head Chef Giovanni Paolo Pintore is at the helm of the kitchen, which serves an eclectic menu designed to cater to all taste buds. Coupled with unforgettable service and vibrant interiors, it is our aim for Bull & Bear to become a destination of choice for travellers and Dubai residents alike.”

For breakfast, diners can choose from a variety of specialty favourites served straight to the table. There’s the Smashed Avo & EggsAcai Bowl with coconut flakes, seasonal fruits, chia seeds and cacao nibs and The Bull & Bear Breakfast – a hearty, wholesome meal to start the day right, with unlimited servings of breakfast favourites and the chef’s table selection.

For lunch and dinner, signature dishes on the menu include our Prawn Cocktail – the once humble dinner party favourite reinvented for a new millennium. Succulent, meaty, locally caught tiger prawns are infused with subtle Eastern flavours, grilled and served hot for an eye-catching, mouth-watering seafood showstopper. Unmissable is the intriguing Alligator Pear – the Chef’s take on the avocado, with pickled avocado, cilantro, pomegranate, kalamata rice cracker and gazpacho jelly.

Onto the main event, diners will be spoilt for choice with a variety of tender meats, with vegan and seafood alternatives. The Bull & Bear Burger combines two patties and is the undecided carnivore’s dream; Bear, a juicy 100% Black Angus beef burger which sits proud on a potato bun with smoked cheddar and tomato jam meets Bull, an expertly seasoned potato, soya bean and carrot slider. Another must-try signature dish is the Sardinian Fregola – an elevated “pasta meets couscous” dish with cured beef ham, poached hen’s egg, parmesan and seasonal mushrooms. In addition, the Vegan Bowl is a zesty mélange of tofu, organic quinoa, chickpeas, avocado, pomegranate, buckwheat, carrots and kale, topped with a creamy sesame dressing and a soy-cress garnish.

For a sweet close to the day, Ring The Bell is a hazelnut chocolate fondant laced with dulce crispy pearls, toasted marshmallow, ice cream and bitter chocolate sauce. For a fruity alternative, The Big Apple pays homage to the original Bull & Bear in New York, with generous helpings of refreshing apple textures combined with nutty sweet crumble.

Commenting on the opening, Emma Banks, Vice President, F&B Strategy & Development, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hilton said, “At Hilton, our aim is to provide best-in-class cuisine and this is evident at our latest luxury opening, Waldorf Astoria DIFC. With its range of exciting dining options – including the signature restaurant Bull & Bear – the hotel is set to be a dining destination within Dubai’s vibrant financial district. We look forward to showing travellers and Dubai residents all that the hotel has to offer.”

Bull & Bear is located on the 18th floor of the Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre and is open for breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., for lunch from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and for dinner from 7 p.m. until midnight.
