SOLA (solasoho.com), chef-patron Victor Garvey’s critically-acclaimed modern Californian restaurant in Soho, will reopen on Saturday 4th July. Described by restaurant critic Andy Hayler as “definitely one of the most interesting restaurant openings in the capital for some time,” SOLA will reopen offering its five-course prix fixe and longer tasting menus, complemented by its keenly-priced, all-American winelist.
Already well-suited to socially-distanced dining thanks to its particularly generously-spaced tables, SOLA will be introducing additional hygiene measures to offer reassurance to guests returning to the restaurant after lockdown, including infra-red temperature checks of all guests on entry, the use of gloves and disposable menus, hand-sanitiser stations throughout the restaurant, taking customer contact details for use by NHS Test & Trace if required and regular electrostatic spray-cleaning of the restaurant.
Dishes which will appear on both menus include:
- Tartare of Tuna Belly, Radish, Myoga, Watermelon, Tomato, Charcoal
- Carpaccio of Ovuli Mushrooms, Parmesan, Pickled Walnut, Mushroom Ketchup
- Landes Chicken, Vin Jaune, Miso, Walnut, Celeriac
- Pistachio Bavarois, Calamansi, Melon
SOLA will open for dinner only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and for lunch and dinner on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Bookings are required and can be made online at solasoho.com.
