Just opened, Mayfair’s Stork restaurant has already garnered acclaim for its fabulous Pan-African fare. Now bringing some much-needed warmth to lockdown, its entire menu – that draws inspiration from across the African continent, as well as the Caribbean and countries such as Brazil – will be available for delivery.
Prepared with the natural spices and eclectic indigenous produce that are characteristic of Africa, starters include colourful and inspiring choices such as Cassava dumplings soup with okra, yellow yam, iron back pumpkin & pimento salt and Crispy spiced goat beignet with kpakposhito condiment.
Mains are equally exotic, spearheaded by the likes of Stuffed whole gilthead bream with spinach, rainbow chard, grilled lemon & pepper sauce and Curried suya cauliflower with sweetcorn purée, black-eyed bean relish & plantain tuile.
One of Stork’s core values is authenticity; this is particularly evident in the menu’s ‘For the Culture’ section which recreates with the utmost respect traditional dishes such as Beef suya with red onion, peppers & mixed leaf salad.
