The American Bar at The Stafford London features a characterful cobbled courtyard that offers a hidden oasis for dining and drinking in the heart of St James’s. This May, The Stafford has launched a collection of new summer cocktails for guests to enjoy al fresco. What’s more, for all fair-weather lunchtimes throughout the summer, the Kamado Joe grills will be fired up ready to serve guests special BBQ dishes as part of The Americans Bar’s US-inspired classics.  

The new BBQ lunch menu has been created by chefs Lisa Goodwin-Allen and Jozef Rogulski and showcases the finest British ingredients whilst taking inspiration from the flavours of open-fire cooking around the world. Highlights include Hand-dived scallops with paprika butter and sea herbs;
The Stafford Burger with Westcombe cheddar and caramelised onions and BBQ cod with chorizo and soft herb dressing. The BBQ menu is available 12pm to 3pm, Monday to Sunday, alongside a selection of The American Bar’s classic dishes. From 3pm, The American Bar’s full A La Carte menu is available.

In partnership with Hendrick’s Gin, the courtyard has been dressed for the season, taking inspiration from the Hendrick’s Distillery Hot House. The lush, green, botanical space will allow guests to bask in the sunshine in one of the Peacock Chairs, whilst sipping on the refreshing summer cocktails crafted by The American Bar’s talented mixologists, led by Benoit Provost and Salvatore Megna. The summer cocktail list includes two special Hendrick’s creations: 

Summer Solstice – Hendrick’s
Grand Cabaret Gin, grand marnier cordon rouge, peach, cherry and sage tea with orange blossom water and soda

A Day in Provence – Hendrick’s
Original Gin, Lillet Rose, Briottet crème de pêche de vigne, rose wine and zallotti blossom
