Luxury hospitality brand Capella Hotels and Resorts will make its highly anticipated European debut in 2027 with the opening of Capella Florence.
Set just moments from Florence’s Piazza della Libertà and Duomo, Capella Florence will occupy a storied site with over 800 years of cultural and spiritual heritage. Once convents and a military hospital, the site hosted artists and holds centuries of cultural, spiritual, and historical significance.
Designed by RPA, De Vita & Schulze, with Liaigre interiors, the project fuses restored heritage with bold contemporary elements. The 89-key property will feature 33 suites, 56 guestrooms, and 10 exclusive residences.
Two elegant restaurants, a rooftop bar, speakeasy wine vault, and Capella’s signature Living Room offer diverse, refined culinary experiences.
A separate Clubhouse will be home to a 600sqm Capella Spa with a hydro pool, fitness centre and café, while an indoor amphitheatre will pay homage to the site’s 800-year tradition of creativity and cultural exchange, elevated through the lens of Capella’s visionary curation and crafted hospitality.
