Baros Maldives, famed for its iconic house reef and natural beauty, has launched a year-long underwater treasure hunt for guests.
The Baros Treasure Hunt will run every Friday from 6 June 2025 to 26 June 2026, offering 52 weeks of adventure. Guests are invited to snorkel the reef in search of hidden deep green “Baros treasures” during weekly 45-minute underwater challenges.
Each week, one participant will win a prize, from curated island experiences to luxurious upgrades within the resort. All weekly participants will also be entered into a Grand Prize Draw for a seven-night stay at Baros Maldives. The grand prize includes return flights, half-board dining, and accommodation for two at one of the world’s top island escapes.
“We are excited to introduce the Baros Treasure Hunt as a unique way for our guests to connect with the breathtaking beauty of our house reef,” said Ibrahim Shijah, General Manager of Baros. “This competition not only encourages exploration and adventure but also highlights our commitment to providing unforgettable experiences in a stunning natural setting.”

The treasure hunts are guided by Divers Baros Maldives, welcoming all levels of snorkellers and divers to participate. The house reef, just metres from the shore, teems with marine life, including reef sharks, turtles, and colourful tropical fish.
The event underscores Baros Maldives’ commitment to sustainability, education, and preserving its pristine coral environment for future generations.
A seven-night stay at Baros starts from £2,384 per person for two adults, with return flights from London Heathrow with a seaplane transfer, staying in a Beach Villa with a Private Pool on a half board basis.
