This June, Mexican-inspired restaurant Wahaca is bringing a little Watermelon Sugar to London’s South Bank. Inspired by Harry Styles’ chart-topping hit, its Watermelon Sugar Margarita has been created to celebrate his curation of Meltdown 2026 at the Southbank Centre. Available exclusively at Wahaca Southbank from 10th to 21st June, the cocktail offers festival-goers a refreshing way to toast one of the capital’s biggest cultural events.
A cocktail inspired by Harry Styles’ biggest hit
Taking its cue from the global anthem Watermelon Sugar, the limited-edition serve combines sweet watermelon with Wahaca’s signature frozen margarita. The cocktail is made with Gran Centenario tequila and finished with a generous wedge of fresh watermelon.
Each drink is served in a cup wrapped in a vibrant watermelon-themed sleeve. The result is a summer-ready cocktail that captures the fun and energy of festival season.
The perfect Meltdown pit stop
Priced at £10.95, the Watermelon Sugar Margarita will be available throughout the festival period. Its location makes it an ideal stop for visitors heading to performances, exhibitions and events at the nearby Southbank Centre. With its riverside setting, lively atmosphere and menu of vibrant Mexican-inspired dishes, Wahaca Southbank offers the perfect place to relax before or after a day at Meltdown.

Bringing summer vibes to the South Bank
“Nothing says summer quite like watermelon and frozen margaritas, so bringing the two together for Meltdown felt like a match made in heaven,” says Wahaca CEO Gemma Glasson.
“We wanted this very special cocktail to capture the energy and buzz of the South Bank at this time of year – it’s sweet, refreshing and guaranteed to put guests in a festival mood.”

The Watermelon Sugar Margarita will be available exclusively at Wahaca Southbank from 10th to 21st June 2026.
