Opening in Kuala Lumpur’s Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), Kimpton Naluria will be a new landmark in the city’s financial district. The hotel promises to redefine luxury hospitality, blending contemporary design with Kimpton’s signature warm and personalised service.
Inspired by Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant energy, the property will offer stylish, guest-focused spaces and memorable lifestyle experiences. Staying at Kimpton comes with unique touches, including several well-loved brand perks designed to surprise and delight.
Signature Kimpton Perks Guests Can Expect
- “Forgot It? We’ve Got It”: A curated selection of travel essentials, including unexpected items guests may not have considered.
- Kimpton Kickstart: Complimentary morning coffee and tea served daily in the hotel lobby.
- Kimpton Social: An evening social hour featuring curated drinks, engaging conversation, and a relaxed atmosphere.
The Story Behind the Name
‘Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur’ takes its name from two Malay words – naluri (instinct) and ria (joy). Together, they represent a journey guided by inner intuition and the pursuit of happiness – values reflected throughout the hotel’s concept. Like the city itself, the hotel aims to be a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, comfort and exploration.
An Exciting New Chapter for Kimpton
Paul Cunningham, a hospitality veteran with over 30 years’ experience in Asia, will lead the hotel as General Manager. He describes the opening as more than just a new hotel; it’s a dynamic social hub that combines hospitality, wellness, and inspiration.
The property’s prime location is surrounded by shopping, dining, and green spaces – ideal for business and leisure travellers alike.

Design, Dining and Elevated Experiences
Kimpton Naluria will span 26 floors, featuring 466 rooms and a mix of immersive dining and lifestyle spaces. Four F&B concepts are planned, including Four Siblings, a rooftop bar offering panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline.
All-day dining venue Tuai + Till will evolve throughout the day, transforming into two distinct eateries by night, a local café and an elegant brasserie. A retro Italian-American restaurant is also in the works, with further details to be revealed.
Five flexible event spaces cater to a range of events, from private gatherings to intimate corporate functions.
Urban Oasis with Nature-Inspired Design
Interiors are being developed in collaboration with Hassell Studio, renowned for its award-winning architectural vision. Drawing from Malaysia’s natural beauty, the design will blend greenery, natural textures, and organic elements with modern luxury. Floor-to-ceiling windows will frame city views, while warm materials and natural light will create a sense of urban calm.
A Global Brand with Local Flair
Founded in San Francisco in 1981, Kimpton pioneered the concept of boutique, design-led hotels in the United States. The brand made its Asian debut in Taipei, and continues to grow with properties in Bangkok, Samui, and beyond.
Upcoming openings in 2025 include Kimpton hotels in Frankfurt, Marbella, Riyadh, Hainan, Crete, and Hong Kong. Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur will mark a significant step in the brand’s expansion into Southeast Asia.
