Opening August 2024 on Göcek’s stunning coastline, Ahãma is a sanctuary set amidst white sand beaches and an 11-hectare protected forest. Reflecting its natural surroundings and rich Lycian heritage, Ahãma is bathed in natural light, creating serene spaces that breathe life into its “land of light” ethos.

Design

Ahãma’s architecture harmonises with nature using materials like wood, stone, and linen, with a terracotta palette mirroring the landscape. Guests can explore the barefoot-friendly grounds, featuring 30 cabanas, a villa, dining spaces, an open-air yoga shala, gym, massage area, and a sunken temple-shaped pool. Istanbul’s Stüdyo AB Architecture and Creative Director Gabriela Palatchi have meticulously crafted each space, incorporating artisanal furniture, custom tiles, and kilim rugs by Turkish artisans. The property also showcases artworks by emerging talents and a significant collection by Hiroshi Sugimoto.

Accommodations

Ahãma offers 25 one-bedroom and five two-bedroom cabanas, each with unique views of the forest or sea. The spacious villa includes three bedrooms, an infinity pool, and a private dock, integrating local flora into its design.

Experiences

Guests can savour local flavours at four dining venues: Aurora (clubhouse and bar), Solea (beachside), Luna (signature restaurant), and Alba (street food). Menus feature fresh seafood and stone oven-baked goods, with guest chefs providing bespoke dining experiences. Caterina Malorni, Brand Experience Director, has curated a memorable guest journey, while wellness programs led by Natalie Garih combine Anatolian practices with global approaches, offering activities from meditation to sound baths.

Future Plans

In 2025, Ahãma will introduce a Sound Temple by Hector Esrawe for sound healing, alongside a wellness centre, spa, Mezcal bar, and concept store.

Göcek’s marinas and scenic bays make it a yachting favourite. With Ahãma, the region’s appeal extends to those seeking a blend of slow living, wellness, and rich heritage. The nearest airport, Dalaman, is just 25 minutes away.
